CONSULTATION, TREATMENT PLANNING, QUOTE

As each individual’s body and jaw is unique, you will need a bespoke treatment plan that takes into account your medical, anatomical, functional and social variances. This is impossible to produce without an in-depth examination and discussion.

We will talk you through all of your options (including those that do not involve dental implants), provide our professional recommendations and explain the reasons behind them.

Following this process, and further investigations such as x-rays and jaw scans, you will receive a cost estimate that is tailored to your particular circumstances. In order to assess your suitability for dental implants and to provide you with a treatment estimate, we have to understand your expectations and circumstances. The success and price of treatment is dependent on many variables and as well as discussing the alternative options, we need to decide whether you are a suitable candidate for treatment.

A full set of teeth can be attached to the implants and these are cleaned how your natural teeth would be – this is called a fixed bridge. This is not an option for everyone but will be for the vast majority of people. Our diagnostics will allow us to confirm that you are a candidate for fixed teeth before you undergo any treatment. The fixed bridge will require monitoring and maintenance over time.

Alternatively, we can attach removable teeth (known as dentures) to your implants which must be taken in and out and cleaned at home daily. A removable denture attached to implants provides function that is far superior to a conventional denture and often requires the placement of fewer implants for support than a fixed bridge would need. However, more maintenance is required for a removable denture over time and there is the added inconvenience of having to remove the teeth to clean them daily.
